01 How we work

An Abu Dhabi service run from a Dubai workshop — and why that matters

We are straightforward about this: our workshop is in Al Quoz, Dubai. We do not have an Abu Dhabi office, and we do not hand Abu Dhabi jobs to a local subcontractor.

Most people in Abu Dhabi call this wallpaper fixing; in the trade it is installation. Either way, on a commercial project the difference between a good and a poor result is almost always preparation and planning rather than the hanging itself.

Our own fitters travel to every Abu Dhabi project. That changes how the job is planned. A shortfall discovered on site is an inconvenience in Dubai; in Abu Dhabi, an hour and a half from the workshop, it is a lost day. So every roll is batch-checked, counted against the measured drop and packed in Al Quoz before it leaves — nothing is opened for the first time on your site.

What you get is the same crew, the same standard and the same three-year warranty that we apply in Dubai, rather than whoever happens to be available locally. For the full commercial range, material specification, and our approach across the country, see our commercial wallcoverings across the UAE.

02 Districts

Where we install in Abu Dhabi, and what the walls are like there

The district tells us a great deal about the substrate before we arrive. New island towers and older downtown buildings need very different preparation.

Al Maryah Island
ADGM · financial offices

Grade-A floors for financial and professional firms. Reception walls, meeting suites, acoustic finishes in open-plan.

Walls: New gypsum partitions — prime before anything goes on.

Al Reem Island
Mixed-use · towers

Office floors, retail podiums, and residential tower amenity areas — lobbies, gyms, lounges.

Walls: Mostly recent construction; check for residual moisture in newer blocks.

Corniche & downtown
Established offices

Older commercial stock around the Corniche and the city centre, often being refurbished floor by floor while tenants stay in.

Walls: Painted, previously papered or rendered — the most preparation.

Yas Island
Hospitality · leisure

Hotel corridors and rooms, F&B, and leisure venues where work is phased around guests.

Walls: Coastal humidity—acclimate materials and match the adhesive.
Saadiyat Island
Hotels · cultural district

High-specification hospitality and residential, where natural and fabric-backed finishes are often specified.

Walls: New build, coastal — lining and acclimatising matter most here.
Masdar City
Sustainability-led

Offices and institutions where Estidama and material emissions come up at the specification stage.

Walls: Expect requests for VOC data on material and adhesive.

03 Local rules

What is different about an Abu Dhabi project

Most of the work is identical to Dubai. Four things are not, and they are worth knowing before you specify anything.

TopicIn Abu DhabiWhat it means for your wallcovering
Fire authorityAbu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority (ADCDA), separate from Dubai Civil DefenceConfirm with your consultant which submittals ADCDA requires. Don’t assume paperwork prepared for a Dubai project covers you here.
SustainabilityEstidama Pearl Building Rating System, run by the Department of Municipalities and TransportMandatory for new buildings — at least 1 Pearl, and 2 for government-funded buildings. It addresses low-emitting products, so expect to be asked for emissions data.
Office weekendsOffices largely empty Saturday and SundayOccupied floors can be hung over a weekend with no disruption. We work seven days, so this costs you nothing extra in scheduling.
New island buildLarge volumes of new construction on Reem, Yas and SaadiyatWait for air-conditioning to be commissioned before hanging. Adhesive cures badly in heat and humidity, and new plaster needs to dry out.

06 Cost

How commercial pricing works here

There is no rate card on this page, and that is deliberate.

A commercial figure depends on four things: the material specified, the measured area and drop height, the condition of the substrate, and the access hours. Night and weekend working carries a different labour cost from a vacant shell handed over at 8am. A per-square-metre number quoted before a survey is a number that gets revised on site, which is no use to anyone building a budget.

So the survey is free, the installation labour is free, and what you receive afterwards is a written quotation for the material and the scope, broken down by area. Nothing is charged before you accept it. For tender work we can price from drawings and a finishes schedule, then confirm on survey.

Frequently Asked Question

How much does commercial wallpaper installation cost in Abu Dhabi?

When we supply the wallcovering, installation is included — you pay for the material only. The material cost depends on the product, the measured area, the substrate and any lining needed, so we quote in writing after a free site survey rather than from a rate card.

No. Our workshop is in Al Quoz, Dubai. Our own fitters travel to Abu Dhabi projects—we don’t subcontract locally—and we batch-check and pack every roll in the workshop before it ships.

Yes — “wallpaper fixing” is the term most commonly used in Abu Dhabi; “installation” is the term used in the trade. For commercial work, it covers surface preparation, priming or lining, hanging, pattern-matching, and snagging, and ours is included when we supply the material.

Yes. Abu Dhabi offices are largely empty on Saturday and Sunday, and we work seven days a week, so occupied floors are usually hung over a weekend with the office back in use on Monday.

We obtain the manufacturer’s fire test report for the exact product reference you specify and pass it to you before ordering. Your consultant confirms which classification the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority requires for the project; we confirm whether the material can meet it.

Yes — we obtain the manufacturer’s data sheet covering emissions for the specified wallcovering, and for the adhesive where your project asks for it, before the order is placed.
